Cornelien Donner-Broersma

Cornelien studied Dutch Law at VU University in Amsterdam, with constitutional and administrative law, private law and international law as main subjects. After her study, she started her career as a pension lawyer in 2004. In this capacity, she worked as a pension specialist at Baker&McKenzie for 11 years (3 of which in New York) and 2 years at Jones Day. In 2019, Cornelien joined KWPS as senior consultant and as pension lawyer. Cornelien is not a litigation lawyer, not independently nor from KWPS. 

Cornelien provides advice about various pension-law related matters to companies and pension funds. She furthermore assists law firms in pension-related issues and due diligence projects. As a pension lawyer, she has been involved in various M&A transactions, national and international change and harmonisation processes, financing issues (including funding ratio issues), indexation issues, compliance and sanity checks, retirement schemes (early retirement or otherwise) and equal treatment issues.
